A series parallel circuit consists of combinations of series and parallel configurations of resistances. The knowledge Of the basic principles associated with series and parallel circuits is sufficient to solve such series-parallel circuits.

Example 1: Find the resistance Of the circuit shown in Fig. 2.8.

Solution: Three resistances, each Of 9 Q, are in parallel across the points C and D.

Similarly, 2 Q and 3 Q resistors are in parallel across the points B and C.
