Types of Wiring

There are the following types of wiring:

  1. Cleat wiring.
  2. Casing and capping wiring.
  3. CTS or TRS wiring.
  4. Lead sheathed wiring.
  5. Conduit pipe wiring.

(i) Surface conduit pipe wiring.

(ii) Concealed conduit or Underground pipe wiring.

Wiring Selection

There are the following points to be considered before selecting the types of wiring for any particular place.

Durability: The wires used in that wiring must be durable and should be safe from the fire and weather changes etc.

Safety: The wiring should not be risky to any human being.

Cost: It should be within the approach of the consumer and should not be costly.

Appearance: The outlook of the wiring should be good enough and should be according to the construction and design Of the building.

Accessibility: It should be easily accessible and easy to extend.
