Ferrite Core Inductor

In this topic, you study Ferrite Core Inductor.

These inductors use ferrite as a core material. Ferrites form an important class of magnetic materials with high permeability and low losses for use at high frequencies.

Ferrites are ceramic materials, dark grey or black in appearance and, very hard and brittle. Ferrite consists of ferric oxide (Fe304) in loose chemical union with one or more oxides of manganese, zinc and nickel.

Applications of Ferrite Core Inductor

Ferrite cores have made possible miniaturized inductors/transformers for many high-frequency applications.
